This exuberant sketch of the iconic Bendigo Bendigo Shamrock Hotel was created with wax pastels on paper. Experimenting with colour, line and atmosphere, I created this sketch while working on my One Drawing a Day Project based on Bendigo.
Trying to keep it lose and suggestive, this work was created in less than 1hr, and has capture some of Bendigo's beautiful light.
This work has been framed in a simple shadow box frame of light wood with a white matt surrounding the drawing.
