I'm amazed at my transformation from always drawing from other peoples reference photos, to only wanting to draw from my own. I no longer need them to be perfect light filled vistas, it helps that the style I'm working in doesn't need that. But I love the immediaticy of taking a photo then sketching from it that day. I take so many photos of Florence and Lucy they are starting to creap into my artworks. Which I just love, it's such a record of my time and our days together.
