The Breath of the Day’ Discovering Gold Monument Bendigo

This exuberant sketch of the iconic Discovering Gold Monument was created with acrylic paint on board. Experimenting with colour and atmosphere, I created this sketch while working on my One Drawing a Day Project based on Bendigo.

Trying to keep it lose and suggestive, this work was created in less than 1hr, and has capture some of Bendigo's beautiful light.

This work has been finished in a vintage frame which has a very unique finish.
